Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the Korean Association of Certified Exercise Professionals (KACEP), we are enormously pleased to announce and invite you to the 2010 Northeast Asia Conference
on Kinesiology (NACK)
. The NACK will be held in conjunction with the 11th KACEP Annual Meeting in the beautiful city of Seoul, Korea, May 29 and 30, 2010.

The KACEP has a history of hosting world congresses to promote quality in the field of kinesiology as well as support the rights of exercise professionals both in Korea and throughout the world. It is note-worthy that certified exercise professionals have contributed to providing safe and efficient exercise programs for the promotion of national health as a result of their specialized knowledge.

KACEP is defining kinesiology (ê¡ÔÑùÊ) as the study of human movement, including physical activity, exercise and sport. The subject of this conference is the role of kinesiology for health/fitness and the pursuit of happiness. The practical purpose of this conference is to answer the question, "How will we be able to expand the domain of job opportunities for our students as graduates in kinesiology."

Recently, youth unemployment is very serious. Graduates in kinesiology are undergoing the same hardship these days. Even if a graduate was employed, she/he seldom receives a satisfactory salary. It has been an impending issue which hunches our shoulders. To solve these problems, we think, it is necessary to share our opinions and to prepare for the cooperation program within northeast Asian countries.

For satisfying those needs, we will have a discussion between countries at this conference about the system of certification and college curriculum for professionals. If possible, we would like to form an organization to handle the certification in Northeast Asia and we also hope to discuss things with all of you in order to cooperate within our Northeast Asian countries.

The intention of the 2010 Northeast Asia Conference on Kinesiology (NACK) is to provide participants with quality research findings as well as opportunities to explore new ideas to lead us to a better future for the field of kinesiology.

Today, the issues and trends in human movement, physical activity, sport, and exercise are changing and diversifying at a rapid rate. Also, current trends no longer reside within the limitations of national boundaries, but have become a worldwide phenomenon over the years.

This gives the NACK added weight in providing opportunities for world-renowned kinesiologists, local and foreign, to present their most advanced kinesiology theories and ideas proposed through their research. We truly believe the NACK will mark the beginning of the global vision of kinesiology in the 21st century.

We hope to see you at the NACK in 2010 !

Sincerely,
Chul Jung Jung
